“Every new day, no, every hour costs the lives of innocent people, including children,” Raman Pratasevich’s parents stressed in an interview with Bild newspaper.
Parents of the journalist imprisoned in Minsk asked Chancellor Angela Merkel to intercede for him and other political prisoners in Belarus. They made this request in an interview to the German newspaper Bild, published on Saturday, June 12.
“We very much ask you to help us so that all the innocent come out of the prisons to freedom,” Natallia and Dzmitry Pratasevich said, addressing the head of the German government through German journalists. “Every new day, no, every hour costs the lives of innocents, including children.”
Raman Pratasevich has been in detention for 20 days; he was detained during the hijacking of the Ryanair plane.
